Not sure which of these apply to a 2.2 as new as yours but:
Engine wiring loom around red lifting eye at rear of engine Turbo loom over air con pump And a fault code reader / reset device is money very well spent, if you read the codes and post on here several of the members will happily point you in the right direction Good luck |

Can you verify the conditions before the limp mode activated.
I have encountered twice limp mode, the result of over reving. A stop and restart have reset the limp mode, and after approx 4-5 start and stops the engine light has extinguished. Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

Thanks for the replies. I was driving home from work and got stuck behind a car doing 30 mph. I gave it some when I got to the dual carriageway. After stopping and turning right at a roundabout the engine went into what I assume to be limp mode (scary). I got home and put the post up. After some searching around the forum, I went out for a spin and all seemed normal, but with the engine management light still on.
I'll go out tomorrow again and see if all is ok again after a few start-stops. Thanks again for the help. Much appreciated. Stu. |

had the same problem and found that the hose to turbo had come loose (slightly) and was causing the problem.
