There is definitely a short there! Is it under warranty?
(I'm guessing maybe not.) Next step would be to try and trace the fault. Do you have trialer electrics too by the way? |

No sadly no warranty - it's a 2007.
I have a tow bar with the side electrical socket - I've never towed with it so I've no idea if it works. I don't own a multimeter or anything so not sure where to go next. |

Humour me... were you towing?
Do you have led indicators or an aftermarket flasher relay? |

Nope! Don't own a trailer and no need to tow.
No LED lights either. |

I would guess that the electric socket for towing is were the fault lay.
They fill up with fine silt off the road and water. Undo the three small bolts that hold the socket on, pull back the rubber/plastic shroud and you may find your problem is a short. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

More than likely it will be full of damp/wet silt that has corroded the cables and shorted them out.
Looking at the back of the plug it should have an insert that you can pull out by turning it left or right , I can't remember which way but there is are directions on the main body of the plug, clean up the cables , move them apart and then try you lights. If you want to rule out the tow socket you can just unplug the grey plug above the rear crossmember at the back of the drivers side rear arch if your indicators still don't work you can simply plug it back in. Ray
