My Conclusions:
1. The Breather Pipe appears not fit for purpose with a <3 year life expectancy
2. The price of the replacement Pipe is JLR high (Just Laugh it's Ridiculous)
3. A superior quality Pipe is easy to source and will almost certainly outlast the OEM
4. Getting the Tank out of my 90 was an absolute

Not sure when it was put on the production line, but I noticed that the photos from the final days showed this arrangement.

Here an update. So my truck went to dealer today for replacing the fuel tank breather pipe which had developed a small leak at the little valve sitting on top of the fuel tank. My breather pipe had already been replaced 2 years ago by the same version, not because of a leak, but because of cracking rubber at the upper connection. I did this as preventive maintenance at the time, but just over two years later a small leak at the valve.

LR indeed have changed the design of the breather pipe. New one looks like in above picture of Supacat. But that seems a not very thoughtful fixing by the Solihull crew, as the thin end piece is hanging out in the open in front of the fuel filling line. As I don't want the little breather pipe to hang unprotected in the splash range of the wheel arch I first asked my dealer to see if they could add an extension to that thin bended pipe and fix it somewhere high up out of the way of any water splash. Then changed my mind.

Thought that the chance of water being sucked up into the little pipe and through the filter would be very small anyway, as only time that there will be an inbound airflow normally is when you drive, fuel gets slowly used, and air needs to replace the vacuum created in the tank. That should mean a very minimal airflow, so little chance of water really being sucked in.
But in order to minimize all risk, I asked my dealer to cut a 10 cm long piece of the to be removed old breather pipe and to fix it to the end piece of the thin bended pipe. Then to install the new pipe, with this 10 cm added piece behind the actual fuel filling pipe where it is already very much out of water splashing reach, and make sure that it gets fixed with the end opening as good as vertically down. My theory is that:
1. the end piece fixed behind the fuel pipe is really high up with little chance of direct water splash.
2. the 10 cm long extension is a pipe with a much larger diameter than the little plastic venting pipe itself, so as long as it is installed vertically, and with little or almost no inbound air flow, there is little chance that water would really be sucked up or creep up the full 10 cm into this pipe. If water drops would reach the end opening of this extended pipe, the minimal amount of possible inbound air flow and the bigger pipe diameter should cause any water to just drop down again.

Dealer found this a very good idea and installed as in below pictures. it is an easy connection as the thin bended breather pipe fits right in the inside of the larger diameter thick rubber pipe and can be tied up with one of those screwdriver adjustable metal ties. (Don't know how you call those things exactly in English )

I think this is a good and easy solution to avoid water being sucked into the fuel tank. As to the quality of the rubber of this new pipe, time will tell. Below a few pictures:

Last observation. Dealer says it is a bit difficult, but taking off old pipe and installing a new one onto the fuel tank can be done without lowering the fuel tank. Bit difficult because lowering the fuel tank on a 110 is not easy, and on a 90 you would not wish that to your worst enemy.

Yes....The J Tube is a completely different material, a hard plastic pipe and doesn't look to suffer the short
life expectancy of the main breather pipe, so I reused it.

Looked at my dealer invoice. The part number for the new type of breather pipe with everything attached to it as in my above posted pictures is LR067195.
