The days when Overfinch were a revered Engine and transmission tuner are long gone, like all the Defender specialists out there it's all cosmetic these days which is a shame.
I saw this at a local car specialist - the dealer has a top notch reputation by the way, take a look at their other stock, always have very fancy cars and they sell them quick. This one though, a Defender Overfinch seems heavily over priced to me. http://www.top555.co.uk/stock/details/Land...-XS-U3163/ If you took a bog standard XS CSW and then tricked up up to this level, I doubt the difference would be in the region of £40K of bits. New wheels £2k max Rear NAS step £320 Swingaway £150 Respray bonnet and front grilles £400 Recaro front seats £3600 Leather trimmed headlining £1k leather dash and door panels £1500 Cubby £350 Startech Wheel £400 Double DIN set up £750 Total approximate cost of DIY fitments of these? About £10K in bits, plus they have done the ECU remap and an intercooler so maybe £11k total. £64,950 - the list price of a Defender, - £11k. That's one HELL of a margin! I'm in the wrong game. I guess in the end the OE Autobiography has legitimised this type of cost in a Defender. There's one in my local dealer at £80K. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

If the mark up on their parts is anything to go by....
How about £1194 for a Startech steering wheel with an Overfinch badge stuck on: http://www.overfinch.com/product/overfinch...ing-wheel/ Or £895 for a fuel cap?!! http://www.overfinch.com/product/defender-fuel-cap/ Ridiculous! |

It's a niche market aimed at the 'more money than sense' brigade.

My mate has a RR TDV8 Aero 3. Like the Defender lots of money but no performance kit. Only wheels, body kit and interior plus Overfinch badging.
So not only the Defender suffers. I remember, year ago, seeing an F reg Overfinch Range Rover Classic with something like a 5.7 litre Chevrolet engine in. Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

I had one, painted in Aston Martin sage green, with steel 70's bumpers. It was an ex press car, then sent to Overfinch. Full respray, big brakes, 5.7 Chevy, suspension and ARB upgrades. It went like holy hell but looked totally standard. That was before men used hair and skin products. |
