So that Autobiography would be €291.900 on the road price in the Netherlands. For ease of conversion for our UK friends that means £226.279 at todays exchange rate. For that price I hope the dealer would agree to throw in some free rubber mats, yes? ![]() Alternatively in Holland you could ask dealer to raise the roof by 3 cm or so, which understand would bring tax down quite a bit, no? But then again, who wants to drive a brand new SW with such a raised roof? ![]() Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

^ Youre quite right Eric... They say living in Switzerland is expensive, but I guess driving a Defender there is way cheaper than overhere - You know about the tax here (road tax and BPM)...

If you only need two seats you could raise the roof, etc...
I need the the rear seats, why I drive the 130. Can't afford a new 90 or 110 as a family car. |

^ Yep, that's why mine is 20 years old - but still going strong, as my every day car! Cheers, Vincent

Ah wel Vincent. I got my vat back. Road tax is about 460 per year. And depreciation helps to keep my income tax under control. 😄
