when I changed my policy with Adrian flux when I picked up my USW I gave them the reg and they were happy with that. After all it is a 110 Station wagon with the Utility pack as a chosen option.

I totaly agree, but the issue is in the eyes of the insurer its a comercial, and I still have no idea why it comes up a DCP on land rovers own insurance database. Iv pretty much spent all day on phone with insurers and got nowhere other than very expensive quotes and a lot of confusion to what they are actually insuring, at the rate im going I am just going to look for another station wagon and let the other one go , this would be a big dissapointment as its probably one of the only ex dem 0 miles defenders about at the mo for list price. |

In light I have just dug out and checked my certificate of insurance.
it is stated as a Land Rover Defender 110 TDI.. and under model it is estate car / station wagon. and it is down as having 5 seats. So Adrian flux see it as a private passenger car and have insured it as such. I might suggest you give them a call in the morning. |

I've insured my UW's with both NFU and A-plan in the past without issues.

Mine was not an issue, insured with LR insurance at first but then they wouldn't insure with a remap so I changed to NFU, not an issue with USW or remap/other mods.

Finally got sorted out.
Can go with LV, will cover pretty much most mods, snorkle , winch etc. They have decided it will come under a CSW but have noted on the insurance that its is indeed a comercial varient of the CSW. Thanks for the replies. Rod |

The Insurance companies as a group have a list of all makes and models so I was told by the N.F.U.. I was told that for some reason Land Rover did not tell the group that they made a U.S.W. model. My policy with the N.F.U. which I had no problem getting.
states Land Rover 110, 5 door, 5 seats USW model as manufactured by Land Rover. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to ![]() Richard |

Although I am on a fleet policy, I can also recommend the NFU. At the local office level they have always surpassed my expectations for efficiency. I have also had the misfortune of claiming and this is when a good insurance company 'shines'.
