Not pathetic, it's light hearted banter. Decisions aren't made during PMQs, it's an opportunity to put one over the other party, and has been for 200 years. Nothing more. It's a charade and should be seen as such, so run with it and have a laugh. As for the content of the comment, it seems OK for the media and opposition MP's to constantly bang on about certain MP's privileged upbringing, their clubs, choice of Wellington boots, their wife's family, bonkers hairstyles etc, but comment on someone who is 'one of the people' and suddenly everyone gets their knickers in a twist. John Major chose to wear suits from M&S to be seen to be 'Mondeo Man' yet was roundly pilloried by Labour MPs, so it seems if you're of the Right, you can't win. But, if you dish it out, you should be able to take it. And given the vast part of the last General Election was based on attacking the class of the Tories rather than their policies, fair dinkum I say. And with regard to some comments saying his attire isn't important or he doesn't have the money, tosh. The issue of importance can be seen in two ways. First, he is so focused on his job that clothes mean nothing to him, so well done Corbyn. Or you could argue that if he lacks the attention to detail and effort to put on a bog-basic suit and make an effort as Leader of the Oppos, and a UK Statesman, then what else is he not focussing on properly? As far as worth, his basic Salary as an MP is roughly 74k and you can get a perfectly smart suit from M&S for 100 quid. Given Corbyn then accepted an 85% pay rise to 150k, I'm sure he can manage it. But actually both the lack of importance he apparently places on his clothes and his worth are distractions, because anyone who thinks he doesn't very, very carefully choose what he wears, is frankly blind. It is the Left's uniform of the Unions/People (more so with his jaunty little cap and beige trench coat) and chosen deliberately because it doesn't kowtow to the establishment, which is about as considered and as much a political statement as Cameron choosing to wear Tesco Wellington Boots. So no, not pathetic, just seeing it exactly for what it is. Banter. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

The comment kind of backfired for Cameron because almost immediately the following was tweeted from Labour's twitter account, which is a great comeback and is a direct quote from Einstein:
“If most of us are ashamed of shabby clothes and shoddy furniture let us be more ashamed of shabby ideas and shoddy philosophies.... It would be a sad situation if the wrapper were better than the meat wrapped inside it.” |

he's a looney. did I say that out loud?
I only thought it. whether he wears or suit or otherwise he could at least try to look smart and why would he choice not to join in with the National anthem? he won't be getting my vote. last I heard he was talking about raising funds and doing away with Trident - apparently some dodgy group in the middle east were prepared to make him an offer. Some Islamic State? .....I fear I might be wondering off course here a little. (how very refrained and polictically correct was that ! I even used the word dodgy and not shady incase it was mis-interpreted by the poltically correct club ) |

To be perfectly frank though, I am no Corbyn supporter, if I had to choose who was in charge of the country between a slightly unconventionally dressed politician and one who joined an elitist club and who then took part in a sordid initiation ceremony requiring him to insert his private member into the mouth of a dead pig, well I know who I would choose. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

What i dont get about some of the comments above - he was wearing a suit!
Just because someone doesnt like the colour or style or anything doesnt change that he was wearing it. I dont like Pink cars, but the colour wouldnt make the car handle any differently Mike |

In the words of the PM it was not a "proper" suit - the jacket and trousers did not match

was it just a case of it didn't match cos if that's the case well maybe I'll with draw my comments.
was it ill fitting tho? perhaps the trouser were fair too tight and maybe this would explain why he doesn't sing the national anthem, perhaps his voice would be too high and make him look a fool? |

I bet 90% of the uk population don't know the national anthem....I don't,lol.Nuclear weapons, thats so 1960's.Putin is worth between $40BILLION and £140 BILLION,I don't think he wants to live underground for 40 years. His best friends are worth a lot more, they also don't wanna live underground for 40 years, nor will they let Putin get his jollies destroying the rest of the world.Same goes for China, they also won't let North Korea get out of hand, for the same reason. So scrap the United States OWNED Trident.Pretty sure they have an overide key anyways!
