Or why not stick with pre 2002 OE type rocker switches.......

Know this is an old thread but have any of you used this 2 switch solution on the Puma dash so you can use OEM switches rather than Carling ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Defender-Puma-Da...SwNphWYcXF

I looked into this for a while until I hit on the above 2 switch option, works perfectly, I got two of them.

Look at my 110 build thread, you get 3x3 out of a puma dash centre. I have a batch of singles I will be making available next week, if they are of use I will do a 3 switch pod. Andy

Certainly what I'm after. Will watch with interest!!
I don't have any spare dashes around but see how you did it now that really is a good way to do it and great attention to detail. The number of things I need to switch I would need 3 dashes to do mine, 6 rows of three, which might get expensive doing it with dashes I guess. Just re-read your thread and seen how you've 3D printed those singles, that's an awesome toy!! |

The stuff Andy is doing at the moment is amazing and am awaiting the three switch holder and a few singles eagerly.
For your needs though, have you seen the Discovery holder, takes 6 standard switches in one go for £10. 3 of those would do you although what you are doing with that many switches... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Discovery-2-TD5-...1514308282 |

Thanks for the thought, did come across the 6 switch holder, you can buy them as land rover OE parts for about a fiver brand new from lots of places but the problem is that if you put them in a cubby box the switches would sit proud of the front of the surface you are mounting to. The only way to get a decent finish would be to recess the whole disco 2 unit into the cubby box, mounting it inside another bespoke ally carrier or similar so the front of the switches then sit flush with the leatherette. Other than that it's the perfect solution but admittedly even if you do this you don't have the "surround" to the switch, which mcma's ones have by using the dash fascia or printing them
