per ingo's suggestion if the weathers nice walk the High line and stop off at The cull and pistol for lobster rolls
Gigino in wagner park down by battery park(ellis island boat tour stop) is nice if the weathers good sit outside and a view out to the statue of liberty The green man for some great 'bar' time awesome selection of beers all on tap and great staff juniors just off times square for traditional diner stuff, but mental NY cheesecake if you have the time for the trip out there can do Katz deli famous for other things than that orgasm scene and as muddy says , its possible to do Niagara in a day, we went with viator but not sure about short notice. I'll cost you around 450 quid a head but no regrets here, breakfast on the plane was a bit crap and its an early start. Eataly, have a nice resturaunt on the top floor as opposed to the great food inside the store, (much nicer up top) depending.. you can always splurge on some tickets to MSG and watch Rangers play. Club seats are pricey but very good EDZI, if it was Keens then +1 for that recommendation, again not cheap but.... For shows unless you're really picky just do the ticket booth at times square, check on the opening time and be early! if you're walking downtown an over the bridge then Grimaldi's is good, again be early , its in a few of the guide books so does get crazy busy, but imho worth it if youre down that way And Coney Island lol, we went just because.... hop the subway and have a dog while you walk the boardwalk. makes me smile everytime, corny and a bit blackpool but wht. Edit, OMG someone mentioned grand central... as an attaraction its obvious but , the Oyster bar down the side ramp is great by the way , for a meal...... AND Campbells apartment (@grand central) for cocktails, they do have a dress code which may be worth your while meeting to save refusal although last time they didn't appear to be that pernickerty. Congratulations, enjoy NYC 3 Landrovers |
