United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green
Bit of tlc
Two things I want to sort. Can anyone help? A couple of bolts in the rear bumper have gone rusty so ordered a set of stainless ones. But also noticed a fair bit if corrosion around the rear bumper. Most if it is around the various holes. The car has an Approved Used warranty from LR. Should they sort it? If not, any advice on how to tidy it up?
Also have a central rubber mat in the back which works a treat- ours is a 5 seat. Any way of also protecting the raised, carpet covered side sections? They are getting pretty mucky despite regular cleaning.

Thanks wise men and women of D2! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

They have a 6 year anti-corrosion warranty. But corrosion is defined as perforation. So the quick answer is no.

However, if you moan and kick up sufficient fuss and possibly talk to Land Rover direct you may persuade them to get it done as a goodwill gesture. (I managed to get some ali-corrosion sorted on my TD5 that way).

However you do need to have a full service history otherwise you are probably stuffed with both options.
