Wheel spacers for defender 130
Hello all, i have a 130 hcpu and im looking to put some spacers on as i want to run 285 tyres but dont want to make the turning circle even worse.

so my question is how are wheel spacers if you occasionally have weight in the back?

HI Ben. Should be fine. Although I drive a Defender that is 20" shorter than yours, I have run wheel spacers for nearly a decade now and my truck is never empty and has a full roll cage to add to the weight. They make a super difference. What I will say is that with 30mm spacers and 285 tyres you are definitely going to need extended wheel arches. Also, when you fit them use threadlock on the spacer retaining nuts and torque them up properly, a case of learning through experience this... Whistle

Sorry to jump in here but hopefully relevant. I've seen Raptor 30mm spacers on a well know web auction sight at just under £100 posted - anyone know if they are respected brand? Rob

Plenty of people run 285's with standard arches. Is it because his is a pickup?

Yes, 130 HCPUs don't have rear spats fitted as standard. Going to fit rear ones to mine soon.

Spacers will be fine you will probably have to fit arches to the rear.

The shape and radius of the tub arch is not the same as the 110 or 90. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile
