Just back home, great meeting everyone and enjoyed looking at the variety of accessories on all
the Defenders that turned up today. Many good and interesting conversations held and impressed with the James Baroud roof top tents on display. Most of all a big Thank You to Devon 4x4 for the time and effort spent on us plus the tea's & coffee's and sausage rolls. Really enjoyed the day today and the week old 90 now has over 500 miles on the clock and the engine is feeling rather nice and refined (dare I say that about a Land Rover engine......!) after its 300 mile run. Regards to All Dave |

It was a pleasure meeting up and great to put a few faces to names. The hospitality shown by Devon 4X4 was greatly appreciated and it was nice to see where a bucket load of my cash went to in the preceding 7 years. I managed to spend quite a bit too....not of my money but Rustyboxx's. Still reckon you should go for the premium seat covers at a premium price!
Dave was that yours the first truck by the entrance to the left? I just loved the Melvill and Moon seat covers. If they were a standard accessory I am highly impressed. If not I am sure several people would be interested where they were sourced. Think my clutch may have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana skin from the comments I got when I arrived and the stench of burning clutch. Not 100% sure what went on there but having sailed past D4X4 and turned round I may have ridden it a little in my eagerness to get back? Confidence had grown sufficiently by about 40 miles to push it a little harder and it gave me no mither whatsoever on the return trip. I will be a little more prepared and expectant if it does throw it's hand in soon. Thank you all! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! Last edited by K9F on 30th Jan 2016 7:24pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Very enjoyable meet and would certainly do it again. I think when Liz & Simon open the new showroom we should go again.
Re: who travelled furthest, I've just got back home in the Peak District, so a fair trek...😎 Cheers Simon |
