Mine hasn't exactly missed a beat but it's had more than it's share of time off the road having things fixed or replaced. The last 3 things are the VCV, Aircon evap unit ($AU3K plus about 1K when some idiot mobile mechanic tried to fix it) and now the main fuel tank has a split and needs a replacing.
The writings on the wall large and clear, my continuing ownership of this heap is not long ..... AlanH. PS. The Cook will kill me I know but some prices are worth paying. |

I bought mine new in May 2007 so an early one. It has only covered 40K and only on tarmac but the only problem i have ever had is a leaking power steering box about 2 years ago replaced by staffs 4x4.

Mine's done 66K miles and is a December 2010 2.4 Utility XS. Only the one problem (well two in one really) - The clutch failed at 50K miles - the well known torque springs issue. This was fixed on the last week of warranty with no issues. It was then taken out on road test and the mechanic felt that the mainshaft bearings were done for. LR agreed and a complete new box was fitted under warranty. One of the most reliable LRs that I've had (and I'm into double figures - 5 of which have been from new).
I pick up my replacement 110 Utility XS from Hunter's on Saturday - I'll be well happy if it behaves like the current one. If anyone is looking for a good XS Utility that is VAT qualifying then speak to Hunters as this one is destined for auction and I've been very happy with it. It has just come back from accident repair (literally - this week). It was a relatively low speed full front impact - no damage past the repeater indicators - so it has new wings, new radiators, new bumper, new front tyres. Absolutely no chassis damage. |

25,000 miles on the dot.
2013 2.2 90 HT. Bought at 4,000 miles an an ex-demo. 16,000 Miles - Immobiliser failure, had to replace entire system. 20,000 Miles - oil pump recall, handbreak issue where red warning light would intermittently come on. 25,000 Miles - Rattle in engine bay, shaft between transmission and transfer box, bushes/bearings faulty at end of universal shaft. So shes currently back in the dealership as anther warranty issue. Other than that, no , no problems |

I've had a wide range of faults, niggles, etc, since buying new in late 2008 - but in fairness, apart from a burnt out wiper motor, the vehicle's has always started and never stranded me (hopefully posting this will not alter things! ) 1953 80

My 2013 DCPU has done 89500 miles and has had a new engine, gearbox, clutch, intercooler (old one split) and now in at the dealers for the 3rd week now with serious corrosion issues - the panel under the real seat is so badly corroded it has holes in it. Dealer stopped work on it now until LR approve the removal and replacement of this panel. I have a Disco Sport replacement and firslty is was the 2.2 engined one and I found that to be pretty gutless but that got replaced with a brand new 2 litre one - what a difference in performance. Overall its not a bad car but obviouslly isnt a real Disco 3/4 replacement.
