Joe what size are your tyres? Would plasti dip work on chequer plate?

Tires are 285/75/16 KM2's. Couldn't be more impressed with them so far. Vehicle was parked on a slight lump in the picture I posted so they don't normally fill the arches quite that much.

From my experience the dip would be fine on chequer plate surfaces (I peeled it off mine but wish I hadn't), might want to keep going and build up a few more layers if you use wingtops as tables like I tend to, but I'd be nervous about round the sharp outer edges of the plate cutting through if they're not finished smooth and you dragged anything off the edge.

No expert but that's my tuppence Very Happy

Thanks, I've got 33 12.5 15 km2's on my disco and do like them. My 130 came with 265 75 16 mtr's on wolf rims which look a bit to small. Yours looks just right.

It also come with quite a bit of chequer plate which I think I want to paint black so thinking of trying plasti dip on it first.

Perfect use of the plasti dip Smile Give it a go.

It was white wolf wheels I replaced with the terrafirmas. I think the longer wheelbase can pull off the wider tires looks wise Smile

Thanks for all the replies, I never did get round to doing my wheels with plastidip, might do it when the weather warms up a bit and it's not so damp all the time, which might be a while yet. It just seemed an expensive but easy way of changing the colour of my wheels, if I didn't like them then I could change back easily.
