Thanks mate ..I took the decision to try and fit with everything in place to see if it would work ..my Land Rover is getting on a bit so I don't really need perfection ,I'm happy with the fit and just had a blast around a lane and it keeps the crud off well and they are solid .

Like many here I fitted dirt defenders with chequer plate sills, not a difficult job although I did use some silicone to make sure it is a nice snug fit with no gaps. Black silicone on a black car so you don't see it.

I prefer that look without the dirt defenders, your Defender looks "fit for purpose" Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

I fitted these front and rear having had them sprayed to match the wheel arches. I also have chequer plate but had this taken off and plasma cut to allow for a better fit ( my chequer sills were 4mm thick chequer) then the small gap between wheel arch and dirt d fender I filled with black sikaflex. Very impressed with these and they make a big difference.
Have to now fit them to wifes XS as well, the chequerplate on hers is genuine landrover so thinner so probably wont need to be removed and cut. I will post some pictures at the weekend. 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |
