Rivnut tool recommendation
Hi

Can someone recommend a good (and cheap) rivnut tool.

I need to replace my front mudguard brackets as they both rotted through within about 500 miles of each other.

I could do with getting one for the weekend if possible.

Cheers ---------------------------------------------------------------

You don't need a tool, I just use a long bolt a few washers and a nut, works a treat, look on YouTube for how to do ir. The cheaper tools have a tendency of ripping the treads out if your not careful. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

6mm thread is for a 10mm headed bolt
8mm thread is for a 13 mm headed bolt
There is a choice of aluminium or steel rivnuts,
What size are the original mounting bolts, I would get the same if you can get away with it if not go one size bigger 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

Possibly doesn't fit the 'cheap' description but the Memfast tool is very good

I just bought this from ebay and it works a treat. Very cheap AND effective.

I've also got an M6, M8 and M10 - all good.
Remember to put a dab of grease on the parts before use. Thumbs Up --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
