I just use an adaptor plug, you can get both 7 to 13 or 13 to 7, I think I got mine from a trailer or caravan accessory shop about £5. 1998 90 50th Anniversary 4.0 V8

The puma is a plug and play socket I believe so you simply need to purchase the 13 pin loom ??? Plugs in behind the offside rear arch

Plug and play except for the branch forwards for the ignition, as per my link above 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I recently had a trailer custom built and to pass the type approval at the testing station it had to be fitted with a 13 pin plug. When I collected it I realised I have only 7 pin sockets on my vehicles. The guys who built it dived into the workshop and plugged an adapter into the plug, job done.
