Converting 7pin to 13pin towing electrics
Good Afternoon all,

Has anybody converted their TDCI to 13 pin electrics from 7 pin? There is limited information out there, however you can buy the kits quite easily but they do not have much detail with them. Is it just plug and play at the back end, or is there some cable runs to put in to the front seat?

Any information is appreciated before I buy the "kit".

Thanks

I just use an adaptor plug, you can get both 7 to 13 or 13 to 7, I think I got mine from a trailer or caravan accessory shop about £5. 1998 90 50th Anniversary 4.0 V8

The puma is a plug and play socket I believe so you simply need to purchase the 13 pin loom ??? Plugs in behind the offside rear arch

I recently had a trailer custom built and to pass the type approval at the testing station it had to be fitted with a 13 pin plug. When I collected it I realised I have only 7 pin sockets on my vehicles. The guys who built it dived into the workshop and plugged an adapter into the plug, job done.
