Britpart HD clutch kit.... anyone?
Has anyone here used the Td5 Britpart HD kit?

From what i gather, it just uses a DII V8 friction plate (and cover plate i assume), not sure about the thrust bearing.

And a solid flywheel. this is the crux.... how well machined it is? i've heard one or 2 other people say the kit is OK. Just wondered if anyone here has experience of it?

Rakeway do a kit, and via a forum member i can get it for about £300 + vat, but i reckon the Britpart might be a bit cheaper. not sure. may be possible to buy just the solid flywheel then buy V8 clutch from my local autofactors??

I have heard a suggestion that Britpart sources the flywheel in its kit from Rakeway, but I don't know if this is actually true. In view of the relative prices it seems unlikely, unless Britpart has negotiated an exceptional discount.

I am in no way an expert but not sure how I would feel relying on Britpart for a clutch......
