TD5 Clutch....

I quite like driving my TD5 Defender. So does my missus. But she hates the clutch as its heavy.

Is there an after market mod or kit of some sort to make it lighter?

Try some lube on the pedal pivot.

If that doesnt help then im sure there is a spring you can add to help out like the 300 tdi had.

I believe the Td5 already has an assistance spring.

Get her to drive a 200 Tdi or earlier for a week, she'll be glad of the Td5 clutch then!

Check the spring isn't missing would be a first start.

On my old 110, the spring snapped in half... a quick peek at the underside of the pedal should see it, and you'll easily tell if it's broken, or popped out of the "hole" that it should be pokng through.
