Replaced the wiper blades and found a clunk on the wipers. Turned out the grub screw holding the arm to the spindle had come undone. Now tightened.

Then decided to look at replacing the glow plugs. Only to discover I have been sent the wrong ones.

The top plug is the old one. The bottom the new one.

Lots done over the past few days:
1. Completed dual battery solution with IBS Dual Battery solution
2. Fitted Lazer ST-4's in the D44 winch bumper and connected to LR PUMA Aux switch
3. Bough the BAS2 RRC and what a difference it made, did over 500 miles on the motorway (Surrey - Wales - Liverpool - Surrey) and only changed out of 6th when I got back to the M25. So impressed!

Fitted a Mud interior light, really simple, it's just a plug and play, comes with screws to carefully fit into your headlining...no drilling required.

Removed the 4 recently added Wipac spots, also removed the ordinal light brackets from the roof rack. Centred the number plate and stopped, fed up dodging the rain. Will fit the new Led lights when it stops raining.

For the first time...
In over six months, I was able to spend a bit of quality time with my Landy... Thumbs Up

This time on the K-Special... Whistle

Fitted some 'special delivery' Blind Spot mirrors, the Intermittent Wiper Relay I have had for months and checked out the UltraGuage fitted with a new 'Special Loom' courtesy of a certain member of Admin... Bow down

I also started to sort the rear drawer out, much to the relief of SWMBO as everything from Mamba has been adorning the Music Room since September... Laughing

It was a lovely afternoon, warm and dry and felt good to just be pottering around my Special... Mr. Green

Rog,

Is the intermittent wiper relay what I think it is. To create an occasional sweep of the rear wiper rather than a constant back and forth? If so, any good and where can I get one? If not, what's it for.

I have a 'mobile, voice activated, blind-spot' app. It's called Mrs Grenadier and she pops out on command to direct/advise on the blind-spot accordingly. Obviously she doesn't like it when I tell her to get out on the motorway to check the blind spot when pulling in/out of a lane, as it's like wing-walking and messes her hair Rolling with laughter Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

The replacement wiper relay enables one to change, very easily, the timing of the intermittent period of the wipers... Whistle

There is a thread on here somewhere, I'll go find it in a mo, with more detail on this neat, cheap and simple mod... Thumbs Up

Mine was bought on fleabay some months ago in readiness for fitting to the Special... Mr. Green

On my to do list for a long time now. Any details of how you ran the wiring through the door, and how/where you connected up the heating and the indicator wires? Maybe some pictures of the installation and of the finished product?
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
