^That looks great fun Smile

Hello

What blind spot mirrors did you go for? is the relay just a swap and it works...

I fitted an Urban Truck sump guard I actually bought before my defender ! Just need 4 black caps on order to cover the bolts.

Like the fact it hides the gubbins underneath Smile

You may want to paint that properly before any salt hits the roads.
My tUrban Truck guard rusted really badly in 2 whole months.... I was not too happy.

@Stacey - The mirrors are actually from down under, but they are good 3" diameter stick-ons... Thumbs Up

The wiper relay is a straight swap and is simple to set - check out the link in my post above... Mr. Green

Removed Wipac spot lights, didn't like the look,

Then fitted these,

Tomorrow it will get a clean, so that I can drive to the shop and back and think why did I bother. Not sure whether to fit the Wipac lights to the Rapier trailer or sell them......

Spain 2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
Fitted new SVX light guards from Equipe 4x4. The thing is that they are fitted over plastic , so the guards are tough but support is weak.
Have to be removed for next MOT. Just eight bolts.

Greased the door check straps
Removed the mats as they are a bit soggy
Removed the drivers side foot-well mats from around the pedals as also soggy

Brought the SVX out of storage, ran it through the carwash, towel dried it at home, treated the 8 side door hinges with ACF50, treated the wiper spindles front and back with that same stuff and had them run for a while like that off the glass in the hope of some penetration, put WD40 in both power plugs 1N/1S and in the radio antenna to remove eventual moisture, vacuumed it, inspected the roof from above, and during all that topped up the battery with the Ctek.
Then by noon was ready to drive it back to its underground storage, was lucky enough to get it in there before the drizzle started falling early afternoon. First bit of rain actually we got in a month I think, but for the skiers on here, as of coming weekend chance of rain here, so snow higher up in the mountains becomes much bigger. Probably going to snow every day next week. Thumbs Up

You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Got a New Year's clean, but it's now chucking it down. Rolling Eyes

Replaced the standard headlight bulbs with a pair of Philips Xtreme +130%. I didn't get a photo, but with one of each in, the new one was noticeably brighter and also much whiter. It was approx. 3pm so still daylight but starting to fade a bit. It made the original look very yellow. Haven't tried driving yet.

Having read a few threads on which screws to remove and which to avoid (and they all seemed to disagree Laughing ) I opted to remove the entire bowl with 4 screws as suggested. Also followed the tip to cover up the slot in bottom of headlight recess. I think it saved at least one lost screw. Thumbs Up

The owners manual was as clear as mud. It suggests qty 2 "3" screws but mine has qty 3 holding the trim panel on.
