2001 Defender 90 Td5 ST Coniston Green
Td5 anti roll bar
Hi there,

My td5 pickup 2001 didn't come with front or rear anti roll bars

I have found all the parts numbers apart from the following....

The bracket that mounts the bar onto the fuel tank and the bolts and nuts associated with it?

The front arb chassis to bar bracket and the nuts and bolts that go with that I believe 4 bolts in all?

Many thanks in advance and merry xmas to everyone

Tom

Onto the fuel tank? Mine has no roll bars either, but the bracket plates are there for mounting it onto the chassis legs. From doing a mates last week, the bolts are m8x30mm or so. Possibly cheaper to just get some grade 8 bolts from a bolt supplier than from LR?

Hi there, thanks for your reply.
Rear
On my neighbours 2.2 the rear arb mounts onto the fuel tank guard/surround with a D shaped bracket?

Kind regards
Tom

That doesn't sound like a correct installation, but I'm not familiar with the late models...normally the D bushings on Defenders and pretty much every car I'm familiar with are attached to a solid point on each of the chassis rails. Perhaps your mate has an aftermarket tank protector which also utilizes the rear ARB bracket mounts concurrently?
The drop links are then attached to a dynamic suspension component, normally as far outboard as possible for max leverage....depending on thickness of the bar and how much roll you wish to contain.
I know my TD5 has all the D bracket mounts welded to the chassis, front and rear In case one wishes to install.
Cheers
Patrick

Your right the arb's mount using D shaped brackets underneath the fuel tank, this is for a 90, on a 110 there is brackets on the chassis.

Hi, just done this mod on my TD5 and the rear brackets and bushes are smaller than the front ones and are availible from island 4x4 and mount into the rear chassis rails adjacent to the fuel tank, I just used some normal m8 bolts that I had to mount them. Pre TD5 rear anti roll bars used the same larger brackets as used on the front for the rear as well bar the smaller bushes. That as I understand it anyway.

Hi there I have go the pictures now.... I forgot to mention I am talking about a 90

This is where the ARB mounts on a 2.2 on the fuel tank bracket

This is what the bracket looks like on my TD5 minus the bracket and the ARB... My question is what is the part number of said bracket and would it reuse the existing bolts?

Thank you in advance

Hi, yes mine mounts onto the fuel tank surround the same as your first photo, I didn't explain very well in my previous reply!
The only part number I can find is a britpart one and is the same brackets that I used when I did mine and bolts to the same place.
Don't know if you can use the existing bolts you have but worth a try
