Tyre pressures?
Was it front or 4 wheel alignment? I have seen people over tighten the front radius arms and this has caused issues. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

If everything else has been checked and is straight, try swapping the front wheels around. I cannot explain why, but it works very often even on far more sophisticated vehicles than the Defender. Defender is easier than most as the tyres arenīt directional.
I had a similar issue on mine (puling, at over 60 mph), and didnīt want to believe in it....it worked a treat! MTīs with 20000 miles on them. 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |

Hello adseybear
If pressures and tracking are good Wild Card 90 could be right, go for fronts first, swap and check, tyres can take up an unseen 'profile' especially if they have a few miles on them...give it a go. Generally Rotate L to R / F to B every so often... ![]() Good Luck... SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

It's done it through two sets of tyres now, and I regularly rotate wheels/tyres round. Did it alot worse on 265 muds, now improved back on 235 Conti AT's.
As it tends to start shifting left and right under heavy braking I think going down the route of replacing bushes etc. is probably my first port of call. 2003 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Belize Green - "Betty" 1958 Series IIA 109 Station Wagon - "Randolph" - Awaiting Restoration 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon - SOLD 2006 Volvo V70 D5 - Ocean Race Edition, SOLD 2003 VW Passat Estate 1.9TDI - SOLD 2008 BMW 320D M Sport Estate - SOLD 2001 Defender 90 Td5 Hard Top - SOLD |

I had a jaguar clip my rear end on a roundabout once, nothing too serious, more a glancing blow so cant have done much. 2003 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Belize Green - "Betty"

Steering damper ?
I once had a similar problem and steering damper had taken a knock - it wouldn't let the steering geometry self centre the steering so pulled over to one side |

I had this issue with my 110, tried swapping the wheels around etc etc. Ended up being the original General Grabbers. Once I had replaced the tyres with new Coopers, the vehicle drives straight as a die.
However, you have said that you've had a different set of tyres on the vehicle, so this won't be of much help! Pete 2010 Discovery 4 GS TDV6 1972 Series III 88" 2.25P |

If it's wandering worse under braking, that sounds like bushes to me. Might be worth checking the track rod end as well.

It could be the front offside brake piston sticking, therefore being slow to operate. Allowing the nearside brake to do all the work, which would pull the car to the left.
