Where to Find Tailgate Mirror?
I really wanna get a tailgate mirror for my Defender Heritage 110. I have seen 1990s' Defenders having it before. Even nowadays sometimes I saw Defender with it in the streets. I surfed the net but couldnt find any.

Just wonder where I can find one and how to install it. Thx

I'm nt really sure what you mean by a tailgate mirror? As you know Defenders generally come fitted with one interior rear view mirrow and an external mirror fitted to the driver and passenger door and in the UK any additional mirrors tend to be aftermarket ones fitted by the end user. Do you mean an external mirror fitted to the rear door and angled in such a way so that it provides a reversing / hitching aid for the driver? Steve.

Sadly OnlineAutoParts.com.au just told me that part is permanently out of stock from them. I also checked Britax Automobile Equipment's site. It appears to be an Australian site and it is for wholesale purpose only.

Any Australian fans around here? Could someone help find the tailgate mirror pls?? Many thx Bow down

I actually saw one on the back of a 90 hard top yesterday. I haven't seen such things for a few years, usually found on the back of Jap 4wd people carriers. I'd have thought a general arm and mirror would do the job, use a bigger mirror than a standard Defender one as you have to look further before the mirror. Look on lorry pages of fleabay, might be that one of those front mirrors used to see if anyone is stood in front of the cab, the ones that hang in front of the windscreen.

They are not Land Rover specific, things like Mazda Bongo's had them so search your version of Ebay. Something like

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-1997-MITSUB...SwYHxWQcvc

If it's something commonly fitted to Land Rovers over there then it shouldn't be hard to find a local supplier, check for van reversing mirrors or something similalry worded. Steve.

JCB Telehandlers (and I assume others) come with them so you can see the pickup hitch.
