Rough idle
Hi all

Just wondering people's thoughts - got a rough idle when cold (I.e first start of the day) almost as if one cylinder is down on compression, disappears when warm.

Plugs are good, new VCV, EGR is tuned off and blanked beginning to suspect the new VCV I fitted was duff, any thoughts?

Wales 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Zambezi Silver
I know on a transit van with the 2.4 puma, after changing the vcv, along with the valve in the fuel rail, a pcm update is required.
If the pcm is not updated, this can cause the valve in the rail to 'blow' again. It may be worth, if you haven't already, taking the valve off and checking it is still in one piece and the innards haven't come out.
Some others may have to correct me but I'm pretty sure I have this right.

Glow plugs all removed, checked and all wiring checked and all working

VCV PCM learning was done after installation I.e correctly installed so if it is knackered it was a faulty replacement unit
