Have the Alive one on my 110, makes it a lot more stable and feels planted.
Had on my 90 too (although different) and felt the same. Improves handling but does impair axle articulation I'm told... |

ooh the Alive stuff is very overpriced. Have a look at Extreme 4x4 much better value.

As far as I know the Alive "Eibach" Defender Rear Anti Roll Bar kits are only 25mm.
You have a choice of 25.4 or 28mm from Extreme for the same price. |

I have front and rear sports anti roll bars on my 90.
In my opinion they have made a marked difference to the handling of my vehicle. I feel hardly any roll when cornering. Feels more planted if you know what I mean Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

The Alive anti roll bars are a result of many thousands of pounds of development and testing we did from 2010. The recipie works perfectly and is exactly where it needs to be for a comfortable yet compliant, sporty ride.
They may only be 25mm but the quality of the CNC formed tubular (yes, Tubular!) bar is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else for Defender, and it's lighter too! I have been there and done that with so many variations of bar size. We even had an adjustable roll bar for fine tuning the near finished design at Bruntingthorpe proving ground. Alive take product quality very seriously! We don't produce products to be cheap, as high quality costs. The chances are we make far less of a margin in our suspension components than of any other suspension product elsewhere. Another example is our Silicone Hoses that are made by Samco, which is yet another top quality brand we've worked with for years. Trust our hard work to ensure a product that is in a league of its own. |

I don't think quoting the diameter of the bar used gives the full picture as to what the bar will achieve. Why not quote the actual stiffness? |

I have ARBs (F&R) on my 110SW. Not sure if they are factory fitted or AM, but they look basic and black. The roll compared with previous experiences (nearly all military spec) seems much more planted, but are we saying (anyone out there, not just Gary) that an Alive or Extreme ARB will be noticeably better than stock? I can understand fitting either of the aforementioned if you have non, but I am guessing spending £400+ and labour to swap mine, might be wasted based on the difference I would feel. Am I right or am I wrong. BTW, I have the featherlight touch and handling skills of Senna, if that helps.... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

My 90 has an Alive Remap via Urban Truck, together with the sports ARB's gives a pretty decent driving experience.
I am positive, Grenadier, they are an improvement over the standard items. Mine are racing red by the way if this makes a difference Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

The lack of any real figures put forward by anyone to compare and contrast OEM vs aftermarket would suggest that you are indeed correct. |
