NOTICE TO UK WEBSITE VISITORS

Hello, we’re glad you found our site, but you should know that BG Parts do not currently sell products within the UK, we export only.

What now?

Find a UK dealer via Britpart’s dealer locator. If you are not actually in the UK, we’re sorry, please close this popup and forget it ever happened!

Have a good day.

The team at BG Parts Ltd.

So for Switzerland you are better dealing with dan at Duckworths

Switzerland 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
When a picture was posted here of those (in)famous small foam blocks at each end of the bottom of the doors with the older type Puma door strips installed like on my 2009, which invariably will get destroyed, LR part number AWR3140, I went to look at what they cost from various suppliers and it appears that they generally cost a staggering 7 to 9£ a piece... Which sounds like a real JLR rip off to me.
Then I ran into that BG PARTS website and there the OEM version is offered at 0.56£ a piece... Honestly for such a little foam block that sounds about right too.
So as my SVX is missing several of them, I gave it a try and tried to order a dozen or so of them, to have a stock for the next 20 years or so. Laughing
The website accepted my Swiss mailing address without any comments, and even provided a shipping option free of charge.
So I placed the order for a gross total single digit £ amount, the credit card payment worked well, and I got a order confirmation e-mail from BG Parts thereafter saying that order is received and being processed.
So now I'm just curious what will happen next, if anything. Worst case scenario if they go silent I always can revoke that small credit card payment.
Let's see what happens next said the blind man..... Will keep you posted on how this company performs (or not)
Eric

See the thread below where for the very first time I found the part number for these blocks

Switzerland 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
Update. I gave it a try and ordered a bunch of these foam blocks from BG Parts at their website price of $0.56/piece.
After two days I received an e-mail saying that website price was wrong and should have been something like £6.00/piece+VAT.
Needless to say that I told them that in that case they could consider my order as null and void.
But happy ending after all, for details just click on the link to the other thread in my above post.
