Not really sure you need the first relay for ignition to be honest. The DRLs shouldn't pull much current so a feed could be taken from an existing ignition feed then the relay just used to switch them off with the headlights/sidelights.

No, probably not - I'm just not making any assumptions as to the type of DRLs and ignition feed. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I fit some DRL's to a Morgan earlier this year and used 2 relays as suggested by Lost for Words. I connected the second relay to the side lamp circuit as the law states that DRL's should turn off or dim when position lights are on. It was only afterwards that I thought, like Rallysteve suggests, that I could have got away with just fitting one relay due to the low power consumption of LED's.

OK, stupid question alert!!!!

Where is the best place to get the 12v Ignition feed in either drivers or passages seat box?

Edit: I have a factory/dealer fitted front spots relay fitted but not used at present (Soon to be rectified when I find a nice way to mount them) would that have a 12v Ignition leading to it? 2006 Defender Double Cab- Zambezi Silver
