tried this one! also tried to order ..But Exmoor trim want your money and cant commit to a delivery.maybe 8 weeks they say. Im going to go with the ones Simon has exclusively to Urban Truck from Corbeau. Clemmo  Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....

I like the look of the Recaro CS and RRS models but the Ambla leather isn't proper leather I've been told, it's a fake leather, whereas the LRI Corbeau stitched full leather seats are the real deal, and a bit cheaper (just under £2K for a pair heated) 2016 D4 HSE

Ambla material is a synthetic leather (as Alcantara is a synthetic suede) commonly used in the Automotive Industry.
It is more hard wearing than Nappa/Connelly leathers, more suited to a Defender. It has the look and feel of leather and does not detract from the performance of the seat. Obviously this must be a "marmite product"' personally I like it, feels no different to the seats in My Disco 4. But the main difference is that you don't get the gorgeous smell of leather in the cabin. My Range Rover has a full stitched leather interior (dash, doors, roof etc) and the smell is still amazing. You don't get that with vinyl. 2016 D4 HSE

I use the Gliptone in the RR, it's beautiful stuff, but I doubt it will make plastic seats seem like Connolly leather! 2016 D4 HSE

These are SVX seats , not CS, would love a set again but the premium seats are great and unless all the seats match in the same leather and thread i think its doesnt look as well. Good heavens, so they are! The seat base is flatter, and removeable. Wasn´t easy taking the backs apart to have them painted, that much I know! Worth it, though. 1998 Tdi 90 SW,

Yeah have had both the CS and SVX , the SVX base is def thinner as you say but I found it looked a bit too thin, but they look much better re trimmed as you have done.. They look class with the backs painted, did mine so know ur pain! It just didn't feel right pulling a nice new seat apart!!!

And how do the Scheelmans and the Recaros compare? I take it you sit higher in the Scheelman seats. 1998 Tdi 90 SW,
