2003 TD5 standard radio rear connector
Did LR in their wisdom fit a standard type plug n' play connector to the rear of their radio/cd units or will I have some electrical jiggery pokery to do if I upgrade to a more modern unit e.g. Alpine iDe-178BT

Cheers

From 2002MY Td5 used a BMW type audio connector (same as the R50/R53 Minis). Earlier Td5s used standard ISO Thud

There are two types of BMW connector, looks like the round pin version is used on the Defender.

Adapters are cheap on eBay, Halfords charge £30 Shocked

There isn't a great deal of room in the centre section Rolling Eyes especially as the BMW connector is quite large. You maybe better off changing the BMW to ISO as most head units will then be compatible Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
