My Defender 110 XS - 2.4...

Hello all!

I bought a standard specification 1 owner, 2008 registered Defender 110 around 6 weeks ago and I absolutely love it...

I have now added some extras to it and trying to stop myself adding more, and recently stickered it up also as using it daily for work.. I haven't had a defender before and was warned off previously as being a difficult every day car - but i'm finding it the opposite. I have loads of room to cart stuff about, my kids love it and the dog wont get out the back of the thing as hes got acres of space in the back...

I think I have perfected my defender wave now also - although the Mrs is telling me off about waving at strangers and looking like an oddball!

Presume the urge to stop changing things on the car dies down after a while ?!?

Sorry, the urge to keep changing things doesn't stop!

Nice looking 110, might see you around, although I don't tend to take my 90 any further into the centre of Edinburgh than I have to

Thanks for positives guys!

I didnt think the urge would stop... am looking at stuff most days lately!

I am based in City Center and now its stickered up it qualifies for traders parking so its in the center every day, if I see you I will practice once more my defender wave!

We have only taken it north once so far but planning on using it more than most city cars get used!

Looks great! They do have that effect don't they. Although you sure the dog likes it, looks pretty grumpy? Or had you just told him he couldn't drive?

Thanks guys .... im loving it more each day so far. Pretty sure even my son thinks i'm cool at the moment due to the car - makes a first!

Dog has always been a grumpy sod.. I was trying to be nice to him letting him be up front, prefers sleeping in the back! lazy b*gger... Defender 110 XS

You are all correct - this weekend the Twisted Sump guard and new steering wheel are going on and most likely next on the list are some Thule (or similiar) bike holders for the roof.... must stop looking for more...
