With! Is that a mark on the bonnet underneath the chequerplate or the photo? A swap as suggested would be the ideal solution.
If it is your intention to fit a rack they are very useful for loading and securing items. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Well spotted. Previous owner must have scratched the bonnet and done a bad repair with one of the repair pen stick things. So the plate covers it nicely. 2016 D4 HSE

I hadn't thought about those, and although they look nice, they are another painted surface which could potentially get scratched when I take it in the woods etc. 2016 D4 HSE

I had this exact same discussion with someone last week who suggested I needed covers. I don't need to go off road around where I live, the roads are narrow enough and you get forced into the hedges! Not worth paying for shiney bits that you know are going to get damaged.
P.S. glad you have been man enough to admit the bonnet chequer was wrong, shame it needs surgery to fix it now though. |

Unfortunately the thing with checker rash is its not easy to get off, if my 110 doesnt sell ill be fitting new wing tops and sills to get rid. As you only have a few holes though you should be able to get them welded then flattened for a respray.
If your really lucky like Mal says someone might swap bonnets with you or you could buy another and sell that to fund it. Its the only bit of your 90 I didnt like think it will look so much better without it on |

How about a bonnet decal to cover the holes. Don't Landrover sell a Union Jack one?

Hmm, not a bad idea, worth investigating I suppose.

A bonnet decal would look good. One of those compass logos look good, although I'm not sure they'd cover all the holes.
Your chequer plate looks like its lifted at the front corners, rather than fitted to the curve of the bonnet. Or is that just the photo..? As said above, if you have a practical reason for keeping it (roof rack fitted) I'd keep it, but if its for "show" then a bonnet decal would look better (IMHO). cheers simon |

I actually think the checkerplate that you have fitted looks good mate!
Personally, I would park up somewhere, wait until your bonnet gets nicked, then you can start again! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

I could cover each rivet hole with one of those stickers from Halfords that is supposed to look like a bullet hole. How manly would that be..GRRRRR

I'd leave it till the end of the season before you make a decision. Take it off now and someone is just bound to leave a gun, bag, stick, or something on there and scratch it. That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not ... oh! That is a dent!
