I'm sure it will need a few coats but if I have sun visors that blend in for £7 rather than £220 then I'm a happy bunny.

I sprayed the visors on the soft top with Halfords dark grey vinyl paint when I did the conversion in 2000, apart from where the straps have rubbed a little they still look great.

I'm sure painting them will do the job Thumbs Up  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Yes I had seen you had done it, what I should have made clear is that painting can work out long term Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Had another day out shooting yesterday using the Defender, the VGS glass gets lots of admiration and questions, especially the back door glass. People can't seem to understand how it all goes together, they think the glass replaces the panels!

Today I replaced all the wipers front and rear, out with the rubbish old Bosch standard types and on with new Bosch Aerotwin.

The fronts are the retro fit AR13U, and theoretically the rear is the same, however, as I now have the new VGS glass I can increase to one that clears more of the glass as I no longer have the door glass rubbers in the way, I have gone up to a 16" AR16U, however I could have gone up to 17" comfortably. I also adjusted my front washer jets, still not great but it's as good as it's going to get I suppose. The new wipers are VERY good though, much better and quieter on the glass.

New Wipers all fitted, you can see the wider sweep on the rear door.

Get some Dirt Defenders on the front. Solves all of that splatter, it was driving me nuts on my white 90!
