Fixed the wipers that were stopping further and further up the screen..... Turns out it was my mess up after I re-greased the wiper wheel boxes I dropped the spanner after tightening up the first one then after the 20 mins fishing the spanner back out it seems I forgot to tighten the back of the second wheel box up the two nuts were still hand tight but as soon as I did them up tight the wipers stopped in the right place again I'll remember next time Ray

Hi Russell,
One minute there was an empty roof and the next there is an Oztent. Must go the plains more often and see what other treasure I can find On a serious note I wonder if anyone is interested in doing a plains day or weekend over winter? Cheers, Steve |

There was a Christmas one organized a few years ago which was well attended. I'd be up for that Not today but yesterday... Drove home safely from Holland in my 200Tdi. She did very well averaging 60mph the whole way with no bother so I think I can safely say that the head repair has worked! Then today while following a truck to work it picked up a stone and launched it through my spotlight [/quote] Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Took the team out to visit a merchant this morning for a spot of product training. Think that was the first time I've had all 7 seats occupied. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

If I find out who did it (and I have an idea) I'll make sure to thank them personally Puma 2.2 90 Stationwagon |

Hmm, what did I do today, well juggling my keys and an excited puppy on the end of a lead I managed to drop my keys just as I got to my Defender tonight. Took a couple of pushes on the fob to disarm the alarm, peculiar I thought but no worries untill I put th key in the ignition and the damned thing wouldn't turn! When the keys fell on the tarmac it managed to chip a bit off the end of the key Luckily my spares were handy and worked no problem at all so it looks like I've got to get another key cut. A real chance in a million to knock a bit off a key but hey ho at least it prooved that the ignition needs an exact key

Changed air filter, nothing to be excited about.
Surpising how much dirt gets in there in just a year! Can tell the difference in performance straight away. |

Was able to drive the SVX to my dealer in dry weather this morning, straight into their workshop where as preagreed it will spend the weekend nice and dry. Next week time for an A-service, a thorough greasing job, and a few more things.
Perfect timing as not long after I delivered it there it started snowing here, first snow but this afternoon at times heavy and temps have dropped like a rock now, so that the yard remains entirely white tonight. Won't be long before the salt sprayers will come out of hiding I'm afraid. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
