I'd be interested to come but I'm not sure if I could make or not hence been quiet here.
It is indeed a lovely place down there, pretty treacherous if the weather turns though but I've not experienced that and at least we're prepared. It's 50/50 what the weather could be like. Last edited by custom90 on 16th Nov 2015 4:24pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the heads up as all info to make sure this works is great help. Yeah if the Snow is Falling then i hope we still all can make it as at least we have the right tools for the job But i hope its not too bad that we have to cancel but it will have to be a wait and see job, but i will make every effort to get there for sure |

Bolham Bridge is meant to be sorted by the end of January Tis a pain at present if you have to use the recommend division, but there are better ways round
Did spend a long and interesting night on that road with 2 coppers as passengers, when the snow had made it impassable and they closed it completely few years back,, but that's another story California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

They do seem to be very slightly ahead of schedule, so with luck Bolham Bridge will be back to normal by the time that this meet happens. If there is a spell of bad weather, or if road-workers have a long Xmas break, it may well not be open. As noted above, though, it isn't too much of a problem provided that you are aware of it (or if you're a reckless trucker and just ignore it).
Some snow would be great provided that is it enough to make lesser vehicles stay at home. There's little as frustrating as being out in snow in the Defender and being as stuck as everyone else because the road is blocked by dimwits in lesser vehicles who are too stupid to realise that they should have stayed at home/work! I have in the past found North Devon Police quite refreshingly balanced in inclement weather - when there was severe flooding around Barnstaple a few years ago and virtually all the roads leading out towards Ilfrcombe had road blocks to prevent traffic, I was stopped three times at the blocks by police who had a chat, told me what they knew, and let me go through the closure on the condition that I promised not to do anything stupid that would cause me to need to be rescued, because they were busy enough already. I thought that that was a very liberal and sensible attitude, and I hadn't been expecting it! |

Not sure where I will be. I have an order in at d44 but it should be with me prior to that date. Might be a nice run out to my favourite bit of coast with the family and dag.

Count me in please, managed to jiggle work and looking forward to a trip back to that area. Used to walk dairy cows under Bolham bridge through the wear on the river Exe. Driven my Land Rover through their a few times ,great part of the world.
