Heater light dim behind centre console.
Hello

I've noticed that behind my heater control the light seems dim, are the bulbs behind this console easy to get to and change

Thanks

They can be changed but are very fiddly! You need to remove the centre panel (the heater control panel stays put) and the mini-harness and bulbs can then be accessed.

I think there are 4 (one for each rotary knob, one each for the upper and lower sliders) but this is based on memory.

Maybe now is a good time to switch to LED replacements?

^^ Do a search on here for that. Several people who tried that years ago did not like it as the LED replacement bulbs are way too directional for use in the center dash. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Hi,

The fan speed part on mine sometimes fails to light but a quick flick of the number 3 usually sorts it..... Thumbs Up Defender Puma 110XS SW

Oh, is that still the case? My bad.

I thought that they would've found a nice solution for that by now...
