No, I don't know what trim it was originally. The owner is one of the add-ons addicted, so hard to tell. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel. |

Ok. Thanks for the info.
At first you might think trim wouldn't matter to underlying workings, but at one time didn't certain trim levels get alloy wheels and associated ARB, while lower trims got steel wheels and no ARB? So it might just be possible that recent XS trims are all "HD", while base and County aren't? |

One difference, at least for mine was, that if you ordered a 90 with steel rims, they would remove the stabilisator bars unless you tell them to fit them.
My MY14 90 is trim E, which should be the same as base level and I've got the "W" in the VIN. (Wolfs, HD springs, vented disc brakes....) |

When I wrote ARB (anti-roll bar) I think that is same as what you are calling stabiliser bar?
I recalled that they were linked to alloy/steel wheel fitment. |

apt100, sorry for double posting information, I didn't really understand what you've meant with ARB. I think I'll have to catch up on the abbreviations.

thor44...no need to apologise. You were just confirming what I was suggesting
Also interesting that yours isn't an XS trim. By the way... I did get a message from Ryan a couple of days ago that he is making some enquiries... |

Would be interested in what Ryan at landrover comes back with. My 90 has alloys now, but came from the factory with the standard 5.5" steel wheels. No anti roll bars either. It's also base spec station wagon with factory for tow bar (albeit it has been optioned to almost county spec) Have got a DW vin number with all the previously mentioned upgrades. I wonder if the DW part and upgraded bits are fitted because it is a station wagon with a tow bar, irrespective of trim level and wheels specified?

alby... that was a theory, but I didn't have factory tow kit (got dealer fit tow step and 13pin electrics) - so that would have meant dealer specifically ordering a HD?

I am on travel and just had an interesting chat with a chap who has a Mil-HD with two Salisburys. I thought front would always be Rover, back could be Rover, P38 or Salisbury? Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel.
