Suggest you call Landrover Experience in Solihull mate. They may have slots available.
Tell them you are coming over especially from Canada and I am sure they will fit you in! Cheers, Pete YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

I contacted them last month, "We will add you to our cancellation list". was the reply.
I figure if I am coming all the way to the UK and staying in Hastings, then making the 4 hour trek by train the Solihull, I should take the driving experience, and try my best to get on the Defender tour. it'a LONG way to go to get shut out. I'm going to be in East Sussex for about a week, anything recommended to check out? Love to get out greenlaning if someone is going. I'll return the favour any time someone wants to come to see the back country in Canada! |

Had my tour this morning...lots of 110 body panels being put together, complete vehicles seemed to be quite a few heritage editions, adventure models - mainly 90s grey and orange as well as quite a few 110 landmarks....saw two 90 autobiographies in grey and black too as well as a few Jaguars as they are on site too...including a couple of new F-Pave SUVs which was bizarre next to all the Landrover porn 😁 Proud to own 110XS TDCi SW..previously 90XS Td5 SW

I'm just trying to get my flight confirmed. Tentatively arriving in London on the 10th. If I can get this confirmed, I'll take it.

My Heritage is in build today, please look out for it. It's green with no Radio or A/c and I suspect side steps!!

Just finished the Celebration Defender line tour today and I hate to say I was left feeling quite underwhelmed.
The factory tour is what I wanted to see. I have a very mechanically orientated mind and wanted to see the processes the body goes through from sheet steel and aluminium to finished article. I also wanted to see the multiple stages of the, see vehicles being painted. I wanted to see the engines and axles being assembled. I wanted to see the body panels being pressed. I wanted to spend much more time walking the line and watching the vehicles being assembled. The tour included the Body in white facility, watching panels being assembled. Then a tour of the final finish line, before being ushered into a small Celebration "pen" for half an hour of looking at a few old original Land Rover models stripped back and a heritage model. A few bits and pieces on the wall and a big book of celebrities posing with land rovers. I'd have much preferred to see a hell of a lot more of the body parts being made and more of the assembly instead.. |
