Ryan, there is a question about correct wheel nuts torque in below copied thread. You may have missed it as it is not posted in the "Customer Relations" section, hence why I copy it here.
It seems that there is conflicting recommendation about this in the Defender manuals for different model years, so I would like you to clarify this with your tech reps. I cannot imagine that wheel torque for one and the same wheel would be different for a 2009 or for a 2015 model..... Therefore, please provide correct torque for: A. Standard steel wheels B. 7 inch alloys, notably Boosts, Dual Tone and Sawtooth wheels C. 6.5 inch HD Wolf steel wheels In the unlikely event that there are different torque recommendations for the above for different model years, please say so..... If you read through below thread you will understand that there is confusion, and we would like to hear what is the correct Nm number from the horses mouth. I think the question in my OP was very clear, and I was not soliciting any information which even remotely could bring JLR in trouble later. Just 3 simple numbers, which are well defined numbers for each of those original Defender wheels.
I guess Land Rover Customer Relations must have run the question by JLR legal counsel anyway, given this nonsensical response that I got by PM. If they cannot even give a proper answer to this type of questions..... Not worth getting excited over, better to start You never actually own a Defender.
