Seems to be a job well done. Congrats. Could you elaborate about the wiring please? Thanks

I have installed a 5v usb charger in the roof lining.

One of these.

Taken a negative off the interior light.
I ran a new cable to the fuse box down the A pillar.
took the aux fuse out and install an Add circuit fuse holder.

One of these.

Ignition on Camera on.

I hope this helps. Thumbs Up

Cool thanks, I used a circuit fuse holder but not the usb charger and cut and soldered the wiring. Are you planning to leave it permanently in the car or will you remove it when parked up?

I think i will leave it in the car. I can't see the thieves looking out for a 80 quid Camera.
Most of the time it either on my drive away from the road or in my yard at work.

Interesting. Thanks. Will have to read it a million times till I understand. I wish to have something just permanently circuited. Will get there in time!

I have a nextbase with the hardwire kit, piggy back fuse hold into fuse box on drivers side , wire up the A pillar , under headlining to camera behind rear view mirror , 10 min job and on with ignition

But it's not on your dash. Laughing

Very neat install. Could it be an option to have it recording 24/7. Just for the chance to catch any unwanted types having a snoop.

Same camera and similar location to mine. I simply took the +live feed for a 5v adapter off the interior light circuit then ran the cable from under the lamp to the camera. The flashing LED can be a distraction at night but is easily solved by covering it with a bit of black insulating tape. Steve.

No but it does have a motion detection option, it'll record anything that moves. But you'd never know if someone has snooped on your car because you can't watch all the footage back to check.

great camera, have one myself. however, regarding the location, I ended up moving mine as being in the centre, where I originally had it, was the exact position neither of the wipers managed to get to, hence the vision of the camera over time is significantly reduced by dirt, rain etc.

I ended up moving it to the centre of the passenger screen, at the apex of the wiper swipe.
