Double Labcraft scene light means problem solved; in fact I probably now have more light going backwards, than most people have going forwards "Ease your worries, Clear-up your woes,

Thanks for the link, I wasn't aware of the scene light, think that's the way to go.

You might want to make sure that the reversing light switch is properly screwed into the gearbox. It's not unknown for it to be loose, in which case the light will be intermittent.
