Door locking and window issues and the associated breaks in the umbilical cables are very well documented on this forum. No help to you now though! Could have saved you quite a bit of graft perhaps?

Your not wrong K9F,
Sadly I traced the wire but just didn't look right into the rubber. I just had a quick look. It's only when I tested the actuator and it fired quickly that I went back and as I pulled it to have a look further into the rubber boot that it just let go!!!! Must check the other doors now!! I think I'll be adding a new section for the rubber bit with better wire to take the flex. Join on either side so it doesn't reduce the flex of the section. On the plus side the inside of the door is now fully covered with Bilthamber! And it all looked good no rust. 2006 Defender Double Cab- Zambezi Silver |

Because the broken wire central locking problem is so common, yesterday i spent some time trying to find the broken wire which turned out to be a dead actuator bloody defenders Ray

I am fairly sure that the yellow bit is only available as part of the door card, though I have a feeling that the black bit that fits the yellow bit is available.
The yellow bits are rather prone to breaking off and I think that your only option is to glue them back on with a good quality suitable adhesive. |

Had a feeling that may be the case. I have a couple broken ones on the doors I am working on.

From searching around, I'm of the same conclusion as Blackwolf.
I think they only come with the door card. You can get similar studs from eBay with a similar top. I may try them and cut the back off and glue them on to the left of back plate. If that doesn't work, who knows!!! 2006 Defender Double Cab- Zambezi Silver |
