Any tips for fitting replacement windscreen vent pins?
I bought a set of the Nakatanenga stainless steel windscreen pins, but on attempting to fit them, I found that they're 0.5mm wider in diameter than the OEM one I removed, so could not be persuaded to fit! (5.0mm vs 4.5mm)

Anyone had a similar experience? I tried to widen the holes in the hinge, but it seemed more likely that the spot welds on the vent would fail before the hinges got any wider!

Vendor has kindly agreed to take them back for a refund, but I wanted to ask around before I gave up! 110 XS TD5

These are on my list of things to do also, mines a 99 TD5 so interested in the outcome of this, I would offer to measure them but they're so corroded they will need cutting off. 3 Landrovers

Dingocroft show them as 3/16 or 4.6mm. Odd for Nakatanenga to get it that wrong, and they must have sold some before surely? V strange. 3 Landrovers

Got mine from http://www.defenderdemister.com/vent-panel-hinge/ as mentioned above.

Slotted straight in, no problem.

I was surprised that they were that different to be honest. I was kinda hoping someone would say "oh yeah, they're all like that, you just need to drift them in with a sledgehammer" but no one else seems to have had a problem.

Might have to give those other ones from Defenderdemister a go, but knowing my luck the one s I get will be 5.0mm diameter again!

Thanks for the help and the link! 110 XS TD5
