Not much use on Pogg Grock with the hinge down tailgate ATM but if that gets too difficult for touring it will either become a side swung tailgate or we'll put a full door on...and then it is good to know about these things |

Hi Warpig.
No, it's a standard picture. I might have twiddled a bit with it in Lightroom 3 a little bit. |

It's actually classed as a 'roof rack support system' and is a standard part of the Tomb Raider LE spec. It may offer a small bit of protection but is only bolted to the body, not the chassis. John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

There are no frame supports on the inside in the back? I don't see how it could handle a load on top without it

No, it just bolts to the body (which does have reinforcing plates). It you think about it though, it is prob a bit stronger than just clamping to the gutter rail on the roof.
It does appear that some TRs had supports running down inside the wings / body - but not all. That is just LR Special Vehicles for you I guess John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |
