Using a heated seat switch for reverse camera....
I have a spare heated seat switch which I have a new head attached to from a discovery just to have a different symbol.. Anyway I want this switch to trigger the reverse camera, anyone suggest what way I need to wire the switch.??

Thanks Andy

Understand, so really I would be better to take the 12v in from the battery? Rest ok from the other switch? Andy

What is it powering? You say a reverse camera so presumably you can find out the current draw?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

For a reverse camera, the cigarette lighter is also an option - it has a 20A fuse I believe

Yup, will look it up when it arrives tomorrow, just an Alpine rear camera that I want to be able to fire up with reverse or the switch... Andy

The pair of seats are fused at 20A, so I wouldn't be putting more than 5A through one of these switches.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Slight side issue, I was thinking of switching about 2 amps through one of these switches just wondered about the contact current rating?
