Bulkhead vents adjustment/seals
Is there any adjustment on the bulkhead vents to get the vent to closer properly?
Mine don't appear to close all the way and I get a draft (certainly on the drivers side) that I can feel when driving.
In summer its OK, but in winter it can get a bit annoying.

Are there improved seals available? Mine are the foam type and attached to the vent flap 1999 Defender TD5 110

I have a similar problem but with mine you can physically see that the vents don't touch the same all around the opening. This I've put down to my not so nimble as he thinks youngest son who insisted in accessing the roofrack from the bonnet and I think he used the then open vent to gain an extra foothold which in turn has bent the hinge where it's attached to the bulkhead.
I just haven't got round to encouraging it back into the original pose

Just knock the pins out then twist the flap towards the bonnet,
Im sure its 8mm nut & bolt (royal pain in the ass if unless you've got woman's hands)
just slacken it off a touch & re-adjust to suit.

or the fix it the lazy way & put another seal on top of the original one and ram it home lol Thumbs Up

I've got exactly the same problem as excossack, though mine don't seem to open fully or close fully. Anyway, guess I'll knock the pins out and have a look see . . . . . . . .

I have replaced 3 of the four with stainless. The one remaining is on the drivers flap; so I guess its possible this one could be stopping the flap closing properly. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Where did you get the stainless versions from?
Had to use lots of WD40 to shift the ones on Effie but still doesn't quite shut completely Santa - 1977 Series 3 - new chassis, tub, disc brakes,SU Carb

I used lots of penetrating oil and brute force to remove my sized vent pins,I replaced them with stainless jobbies and plenty of grease. They are slick as anything now, happy days during the summer. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.
