Thanks Tony, much appreciated. I've just called them and placed my order for a set - should arrive in a few weeks. Cheers Mark |

My preferred mods:
1. Corrosion protection - currently wondering how to get the defender home without it getting salty, it'll be December delivery I suppose. 2. Possible dealer fit aircon, need to get a quote. 3. Self-fit towbar. 4. Seat covers. M+M group buy? Need to check out Brit part, I think they do sand too. Their black seat covers on my 110 look fine after 5 or 6 years and are a good close fit. 5. Some kind of radio, I suppose. Steve, chequer plate -NO! You'd probably be as well taking out the rear seats, more room for the hound. Almond cloth, great idea that was. Not. Current Steeds: 2015 110 UW in Grasmere Green 2003 BMW F650 the Hack 2000 Elise 1992 Ducati 888 (no longer in bits, yahoo) 1990 TDR 250 (in bits again) 1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale |

I have considered changing the seats completely to match the original Heritage Green Elephant leather and putting the originals into storage.
The M&M seat covers from Nene Overland are probably what I'll go for as they look right for a Heritage Defender in sand. The chequer plate is now off my list thanks to you guys Also trying to get my head around what I'll be using the new one for as the 110 will still be my daily drive and is ready for the adventure I'll probably not have Click image to enlarge and then for Sunday lunch outing Click image to enlarge |

Looks great! How is the access with no side runners or steps?

I find it hard to get in and out without side steps and will probably have the folding steps put on the Heritage before collection.
My wife is Tiny so will need some type of step or ladder |

Yes, the steps will look best. I went for side runners because I good get them as a factory option. They do have some advantages (no moving parts, limit door damage from careless parkers) but don't have the classic look.

Hi Tony
I would love the silver Side runners you've got but there not an option here and are only available as a back order with no delivery date. Will probably get a set at a later date |

I actually went for black because I thought they would be less obvious against the chassis, etc. But I'll see how they look when I get the vehicle - I may get them resprayed silver.

To be honest black will probably look better, but all the photos have had silver.
I've had a price for the black ones which are in stock at Duckworths. Tony could you please pop a picture of the black ones up for me to look at when posssible. I'm glad black was an option as I will order those rather than wait. |

I'm happy to do that but won't have the vehicle for a couple of weeks or so (currently on ship in Fremantle, leaving for Melbourne tonight).

Yes, I've been tracking the ship since leaving Southampton. i'm in a similar position to you - I have a TD5 90 which I can't bear to sell, so will have a town and a country car.

I should really sell the 110 and have had a great offer for it from a dealer.
I just can't let it go I think once I see the new one in the flesh so to speak it might change my mind. Luckily the wife wants me to keep the two so no rush to sell. |
