I guess they are to protect the rear lamps, or work as buffer before something hits the rear bumper when the spare wheel is removed... Correct me if I am wrong pls.

Just wonder if the steel diesel badge will look nice on a Heritage:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281891367564 I think the current yellow sticker looks a bit too modern. It will be great if the steel badge can be put on without drilling any holes, say using Pritr sticky tac?? |

Thanks to YOLO I now have some nice FCX dashboard trim fittings.

Not quite Grasmere green, but setting a green theme.. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Blimey Nigel! That was quick!!!
I have just got back! Needed to cool off in the 35C heat today I think they look pretty cool actually... a much closer match than to Keswick! There is definitely an increasingly active 'Green Brigade' happening on here now... with 'Uncle Rog' leading the way! Nice to meet up and to see all your other 'toys'... now get that lovely wheel fitted as well! Cheers, Pete. YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Thanks Pete,
I'm getting good at prizing those spring clips off the glove box lid. I'm very happy with the green, & don't think it has to be an exact match, just a nice contrast. Just need to find a spot in the shed now to store all the original removed hardware, where I can find it again! I will work on the wheel one cool day, the last steering wheel I removed took 3 days off the old 80". Maybe the fact that it had been there 60+ years had something to do with it's stubbornness? Cheers, Nigel |

I found my Defender wheel came of with hardly any effort!
Loosen, but don't remove the nut (that was not even 'tab locked' in position), then a few wiggles and a firm pull had it easily off the splines against the nut. Make sure the previous wheel was dead straight, then just a matter of removing the nut and swapping the wheels over! Took me about 10 minutes. This was compared with my Lotus that needed a wheel 'puller' despite having a big spring under the splines. If you removed the nut off them before removing the wheel, it was destined to end up in your chest at high speed! Glad you like the trims mate! I think a matching green 'Huey' box is in order to keep all the stuff in! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Rear grab handles arrived today. Went to fit them......and there's a large (silver painted) bolt in the way stopping them fitting either side. Defender 90 Heritage. |

yes, with rear seats and strengthening for seat belts I don't think it's possible without some modification.

That's a "posh" copy of the original LR part: Part number 502951 - about £3 from a LR dealer in the UK before discount You could indeed use double-sided trim tape to fit it 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
