Marant is meant to be really good, but VERY expensive... Around £6k from when I asked them about it.

RR kit fits Defender?
I emailed to Marant but no reply but 6k is a bit pricy. My wife is preganant and complaining about the landy is abit bumpy at the back whcih may make the baby feels not comfortable in the car seat. So that's why. |

Congratulations with the baby.
I noticed Hongkong as your location. A Defender is no Merc, but then again... Hongkong roads arent that bad at all. Pregnant women... |

Congrats, "bumpy" is great for babies they will laugh and fall sleep even with the comforting sound of the Defender. Augusto Defender 110 TD5 2001 Discovery 4 TDV6 |

my kids only ever travelled in a defender until they were 5yrs old and knew no different, i think the bumps helped! hope your quest goes well Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Air suspension makes no difference to bumpiness. I changed to firestone airbags, feels exactly the same as stock springs.
I installed air suspensions so as to be able to enter 2m carparks in town. |

Don't put your baby in the back get a middle seat, remove the seatback foam etc and pu the child seat between you. You all will love it.
Ok after nine months when it will sit in the forward facing seat might be the best time to do this. You will have to move it's feet when you go to 2nd or 4th gear but having your kid in between you is priceless. For the suspension: Put a heavy metal plate on the btm off your floor. 200 - 300 kg and your suspension will be a lot softer. I did this with sandbags in the back off a Ford F350 and it made it almost Ok to drive on the roads in Azerbaijan. Hi, have you seen the airbag man kit for the Defender.. Check this video on YouTube
Hope this is what you are looking for.. Cheers.. P. S I guess Defenders aren't the thing for women.. And surely it isn't the most comfortable vehicle. I was getting the same grumble when I first bought it.. Kids love it though.. |
